So, I’m a day late in posting my reaction to the story which broke on GMA yesterday about the mom who gave her 8 year old daughter Botox injections in her wrinkles dimples. Why did she give it to her? Because it was done at her daughter’s request. “It’s a tough world in the pageant world I’m telling you. The kids are harsh and being confident is something that she has to be with them.” Why wouldn’t a normal mother point out that she did not have wrinkles at all, just beautiful dimples that come from her beautiful smile? And why wouldn’t a normal Mom say “NO!”??? Because her mom is NOT normal. She is a pageant mom. Her own statement that it is a tough world in the pageant world is ludicrous. Pageants are not mandatory nor are they a rite of passage for prepubescents. I don’t know which is more bizarre, the little mini divas in macabre looking make up, or the parents who actually encourage such nonsense. It doesn’t stop there either as she also has given her a “virgin wax” which means waxing the hair in her bikini area to discourage it from growing there. I shudder to think that this is to make her more presentable in her Abercrombie Kids push up bikini. Don’t these people question themselves? What messages are they giving these little darlings? When Britney was asked if she thought it made her look better she said,”It looks way better, like beautiful, pretty, all those kind of nice words.” ….words……
