It takes a certain type of woman to pull off this look. I’m really not a fan. After a season of olive drab (I have a closet full), I was happy to see a colorful spring palette but I haven’t really embraced this look. First it was the 80’s color blocking, now this reminds me of the 80’s wallpaper mixes…..you know, the striped paper with the floral borders. Maybe it’s my age, maybe I just need time to adjust to the look but it doesn’t feel very sophisticated and I have never really loved whimsy when it comes to clothing or decorating. You’ll never see me in a Betty Boop T-shirt or polka dots with bows. However, I have decided to style my own version of this look that I might find acceptable.

I love this color combination and it isn’t quite as obvious as the featured picture above. Meanwhile, I think I’ll stick to my solids or just one print and resist becoming another fashion victim.
