Have gymbag will travel. I am on the road again and having to get extra creative with my workouts. I have been spoiled by having my own home gym but everything I have there can be imitated elsewhere in one form or another. Today I walked for a half an hour outside at what surely rivaled the 4.5 mph I usually do on my treadmill to warm up. My walk ended with a brisk uphill interval which lasted longer than most. I liken that to doing a few lunges.

If you can do squats, push ups and burpees, then a gym is not needed. It is good to rely on your own creativity so that when you find yourself in different surroundings, you don’t have to give up what keeps you going. A picture of prisoners in their cells doing push ups comes to mind. You know, it’s in all of the movies. Anyhow, travel is not an excuse. Lack of time might be but you can still pull in your ab muscles and see how long you can hold them without holding your breath. And you can do that when your stuck in traffic or folding the laundry. And don’t forget to work the triceps. That can easily be done when pushing yourself away from the dinner table before you overeat!
