When you choose flying as your mode of transportation, expect delays. There is always “weather” somewhere. I spent two and a half hours on the tarmac in Minneapolis on an Iowa bound flight because of rain and lighting. Although I was hungry, thirsty, and my feet were cold from the air conditioning I wasn’t upset. I was enjoying the friendly conversation of strangers who were on their way back home to Iowa. A warm, jovial acceptance of a situation not within our control filled the plane……a little different from the east coast impatience I am used to. I was glad that Iowa was my final destination even if only for a few days!
