I finally got a smart phone. It is amazing and entertaining. It can do EVERYTHING! I can identify music, go online, edit this post, play solitaire, check my Facebook page, call, text, email, shop, scan products, make conference calls, write a document and wake myself up from a nap. And that is just the beginning. But today I am sitting at my desk trying to prepare for a getaway later in the week and I don’t know what to tackle first. I am in the middle of reconciling a business account, answering emails, making phone calls, answering phone calls, thinking of what I need for my trip, remembering that I have to confirm my flights and I am overwhelmed. And that has nothing to do with the other imposing thoughts and feelings that have to be dealt with daily and oh yes, food. We have to eat. What, an empty refrigerator?

I guess it is what you get used to, but what would I do without sticky notes and lists? There is something very satisfying about writing a list and crossing things off as you accomplish them. As much as I love the features on my new phone, I still really like making lists. There is no app for clearing off your desk and clearing your mind chatter. Speaking of mind chatter…….I am going to look at my list. It no doubt needs some revision. And perhaps if I write some of my thoughts down, I won’t have to churn them over and over in my head. Yes! Move over my beloved Samsung Infuse. I’m picking up a pen.
