I must admit that I am a fan of Sara Ramirez so I might be a little biased, but here is an example of how “thin” doesn’t always win. Sara, a curvy “plus” size pulled off this Tadashi Shoji gown beautifully, proving that how one carries oneself is much more interesting than just being a good clothes hanger. As far as the moniker “plus size”, her exotic features express themselves perfectly on her somewhat large frame, proving that sexy isn’t necessarily synonymous with being a size 2.

If you have ever seen her interviews on talk TV, then you know that she is poised and articulate…. a bit different from her character Callie on Grey’s Anatomy. Sara ( pronounced “Sada”) is a graduate of Juliard and is also the recipient of a Tony award for her performance in Monty Python’s “Spamalot”. I love her recording of “The Story” which is one of the songs she sang in the musical episode of Grey’s. Listen and enjoy!
