I have to admit that I am not impressed with some of the fall fashions this year because I can see the trends moving toward over-sized saggy, baggy, loose looks that if not worn right can overwhelm a small frame. And mark my words, they will be worn wrong by many. I am especially concerned with the dolman sleeve tops and kimono tops which are cut very wide and square. I don’t think they flatter too many people but as long as the lower silhouette is close to the body, they can be kind of cute. Sexy is redefined this year as “covered up” which isn’t such a bad thing. Mystery can be very seductive. I just worry about those who will hide behind layers of over-sized clothing. I think that is one way we are able to put on weight and get away with it or not even realize it. I prefer clothes with feedback! So I will continue to look for scaled down versions of these new looks and will avoid anything with an elastic waistband. As long as I still have a waist I will look for shaped clothing with a more defined waistline.
