I decided to devote today’s post to Oprah, since today is the last episode of her 25-year-long airing of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” aka the “Oprah Show”. The world is sure to be affected by the absence of her daily wisdom and influence and those who were inspired by her to do great things will hopefully use her wisdom to pay it forward. Even though I have succumbed to Judge Judy now and then, I have watched Oprah for 25 years. I have to admit there are times when she has gotten on my nerves like when she says things twice for emphasis, but pettiness aside, I can’t deny my admiration for her. When I think how many people she not only inspired but whose careers she catapulted to fame and fortune, it is overwhelming to know that one woman could have so much influence. She leaves in her wake, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Rachel Ray, Nate Berkus, and Bob Greene, her health and fitness guru to fill the airwaves with the job of heightening the listeners’ awareness. I plan to forego Judge Judy today and tune in to Oprah’s finale which is sure to vacillate between gravitas and elation. You go, girl! You GO girl!
