An apple a day keeps the doctor away. I do mean the fruit, even if Steve Jobs would like you to believe that the apple started with him. Most people aren’t aware that there are hundreds of varieties of apples which range in taste from the very tart to the very sweet. The beauty of this little “pomme” is not only skin deep, it is all of the other goodness it has to offer. Apples have no fat, cholesterol, or sodium and contain small amounts of potassium. They contain anti-oxidants as well, and the Red Delicious and Northern Spy boast the highest amounts. Numerous studies have shown that eating one or more apples a day can lower cholesterol, reduce breast cancer, colon cancer, and digestive cancer, and reduce a chronic cough!

I enjoy and apple every day and I share it with my two corgis who come running as soon as they hear me slicing it. Mmmm sweet and crisp, dipped in a little organice peanut butter and I am in heaven. Try doing that with your IPod!
